Welcome to our website!

Hello everyone! We've put in a lot of effort in this site just for you guys: those who are interested in knowing just a little bit (or a lot) more about us and our wedding. It's for those who are scattered all over the globe and cannot make it to the wedding. It's for those, too, who can make it but won't be in Dubai to check out all the memorable pictures. And also, it's for those who know Salman but not Sabika, or know Sabika and not Salman, and would really like to check up on who their friend ended up tying the knot with! And most of all, we hope you love it.

Venues

Our Big Day is going to take place on the 5th of January in one of the most beautiful hotel-resorts in Dubai known as Grand Hyatt. For most ‘Dubaittes', it's the famous luxury resort in the middle of the city just off the Dubai Creek. For others, let's just say it's going to be as grand as the hotel's name! The wedding will be held in the Baniyas Grand and Al-Ameera Ballrooms in the hotel.

Sabika's Henna Ceremony will be celebrated on the 2nd of January – which coincidentally is also her 20th birthday! It will take place in her parents' beautifully elegant home in the Emirates Hills. It will be an outdoor celebration in the rare but pleasant winter coolness of Dubai. With lots of fun and laughter and hot tea, the celebration is bound to be absolutely memorable (especially if we get sudden rains!).

 

Salman's Henna Ceremony will take place in his parents' grand Barsha home on the 3rd of January. The elegant curves to the mansion will be a beautiful backdrop to the outdoor affair, where there's sure to be a great lot of mischief (ahem – don't forget to bring eggs, people!) and a handful of the traditional stuff like henna designs, Indian sweets, dhandiya dances, confetti-spraying and just plain pure fun!
